Unbought shows you real product listings, lets you fill a cart, and then records what you would have spent. The receipt it prints is a record of money not spent — not proof of any purchase.
Actually transferring money into savings is something you do yourself, in your own bank. The site simply keeps a tally of what you said you'd move.
Listings, prices, images and availability come from third-party search providers and the retailers themselves. They change constantly and may be wrong, stale or incomplete. We don't verify them and we're not responsible for them. Always check the retailer's own page before relying on a price — and if you do buy something, that transaction is between you and that retailer, on their terms, with nothing to do with us.
Some links on this site earn us money. We may receive a commission if you open a savings account through one of the banks we link to on the Savings tab, and links to retailers may in future carry affiliate codes. Neither changes the price you pay or the rate you are offered.
The savings accounts we link to are picked because they pay interest on money sitting still, not because of what they pay us, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of them. Rates shown on this site are what the provider advertised when we last checked; they change often, and the provider's own page is the only accurate source. Deciding where to keep your money is your decision, and nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation of a particular product — see also "What the service is not" above.
Signing in is optional and uses your Google account. Keep access to it secure — anyone who can use your Google account can reach your Unbought data. Don't use the site to break the law, to interfere with it or others' use of it, or to try to access anyone else's data. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.
The Privacy Policy explains what's stored and how to delete it. You can clear your data at any time from the Savings tab.
The site is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and no warranty of any kind to the extent the law allows. It may change or shut down at any time. Keep your own record of anything that matters to you — don't treat this as the only copy of important information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any lost data, lost savings, or purchasing decisions made using the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
